Job Title: In-Home Caregiver
Location: Hybrid - Saginaw and Frankenmuth
Reports to: Personal Assistance Manager
Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time | Hourly
Wellspring Lutheran Services is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking In-Home Caregivers to join our Personal Assistance team serving clients in Saginaw and Frankenmuth. In this role, you’ll help support seniors in their homes by providing companionship, personal care and assistance with daily living—helping each client maintain independence, dignity and comfort.
Responsibilities
Drive to clients residence (in-home or facility) to support client(s) as needed
Assist clients with activities of daily living
Perform housekeeping tasks to keep the client’s living area clean and orderly
Assist with laundry
Help with meal preparation according to the client’s diet plan and assist with feeding as needed
Complete grocery shopping and run errands with or without the client present
Assist with dressing, grooming and bathing
Transfer and position clients safely in the home environment without assistance
Provide companionship and engage clients in activities
Respond promptly to client requests
Assist with exercises
Provide personal hygiene support and medication reminders
Travel to each client’s home to provide services
Support clients’ rights and ensure their privacy, dignity and well-being
Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
CNA license (preferred)
Experience working with seniors or in caregiving roles (preferred)
Valid Michigan driver’s license, car insurance and reliable transportation (required)
Positive attitude and commitment to quality care
Ability to work independently
Schedule and Compensation
Schedule: Full-time or Part-time position available
Shift: Flexibility required for client visit times
Occasional weekend shifts based on client needs
Pay Rate: $13.00 – $15.25 per hour, based on experience, CNA licensure and certifications
Additional pay: Pay increase after 6 months of employment
